Abstract
Our paper aims to scrutinize the issue of salvation in some of the works of youth of Emil Cioran. We find, first, that, for Cioran, salvation is an imperative beyond morals, nourished on despair. It is not a solution because a solution is a response to a set of identical or even similar conditions for many individuals – it is a rationalization of life. „On the heights of despair” there are no solutions. So, at the individual level, the project of young Cioran will be a project lacking of project, which will turn therefore into a thinking of instant or, rather, since all conceptual thinking is by its very essence deforming, into an invocation, an incantation of a permanent living in instant. It is the ultimate answer, the only one that man can offer to God, Lord of Eternity.
