3. Double-Blind Peer Review process

This journal follows a double-blind reviewing procedure. The author will remain anonymous to the reviewers throughout peer review. being kindly asked to follow the submission protocol posted on the website of our journal. It is the responsibility of the author to anonymize the manuscript and any associated materials.

Information related to author names, affiliations, acknowledgments, funding sources and any other potentially identifying information should be removed from the manuscript text and included in a separate document, entitled “Title page”.

This latter document should include, in the following order:

(a) name of the author,

(b) affiliations,

(c) title of the article,

(d) subtitle, if there is the case,

(e) contact information and, if available, the 16-digit ORCID of the author(s),

(f) short professional bio,

(g) acknowledgments.

Self-citation should be performed in a way that provides no clue on the real identity of the author.

For each double-blind peer review process, we engage two reviewers; authors are informed about the results of their evaluation within min. 3, max. 6 months.

Reviewers are selected from a database that our editorial team has developed in years: they are all external to the editorial team, meaning that the manager, the executives, and the assistants are not involved in evaluation processes, but they are responsible for assigning authors.

Authors are required to disclose any competing interests that are directly or indirectly related to the work submitted for publication. Reviewers are also required to declare any competing interests and may be excluded from the peer review process if a competing interest exists (this may include – but is not limited to – having previously published with one or more of the authors and sharing the same department as one or more of the authors).

Editorial Board Members are welcome to submit papers to the journal anytime. These submissions are not given any priority over other manuscripts.

Occasionally, our journal publishes book reviews: titles are selected by the editorial assistant and reviews can be written either by external authors or by members of the Editorial Board.
